Dr. Linda Acredolo and Dr. Susan Goodwyn, the founders of the Baby Signs Program put two decades of research into the concept of teaching signs to hearing babies. Together they wrote three books and started the Baby Signs Institute so people can start their own business to teach classes. Currently teaching in north and central Austin, Cedar Park and Pflugerville.
Locations change periodically for play classes, tummy time and sibling classes but locations are included with full details about a class under the calendar tab. Lots of variables affect when a baby will sign back to parents modeling the signs to them but Dr. Acredolo and Dr. Goodwyn say it averages around 12 months.
