Creative Impression's success stems from the creative drive of owner Brian Smay, whose background is one of artistic vision. An alumnus of The Atlanta College of Art, Mr. Smay has always viewed the creative process as an opportunity to do something out of the ordinary. Signs are NO exception. With over 30 years in the sign industry, Brian has an insightful understanding of the needs of his clients.
He says, Challenges are the lifeblood of our company. We look for and welcome the opportunity to create something different. Creative Impressions has had the privilege of collaborating with many prominent companies which include Post Properties, Beers Construction, Holder Construction and Cousins Properties. As in 1991, when Creative Impressions opened its doors, our Mission Statement has remained the same; "To produce a quality product and always serve the customer, doing whatever it takes".

Services
CREATIVE IMPRESSIONS prides itself in its exceptional ability to provide both creative and cost effective designs.
This process involves understanding the client's needs.
These may include budget restraints, the use of certain materials, the need to "marry" an existing sign system with a new one, and time schedules.
Designing of signage is indicative of the need for form and function to be compatible.
Signage, understandably, places a primary function in providing information, but also plays a secondary role in form.

Within the sign industry there are a multitude of materials that can be adapted for use.
For exterior applications, our designers creatively implement the use of aluminum, natural stone, and acrylics, along with a number of other materials to create an effective signage system.
Within the interior of a space, the selections of material come with a wide array of choices.
This is only limited by our designer's imagination or our client's budget.
Our designers are pleased to work closely with architects and interior designers to meld signage color and material palettes with those chosen for the project theme.

The fabricating of a sign starts well before the actual process of fabrication.
The understanding of materials and their proper application is a necessity to an acceptable product.
The skill of the fabricator plays an obvious role as well.
These two variables impact the overall quality and cost of the final result.
With many years in both these areas, CREATIVE IMPRESSIONS strives to deliver the highest quality product possible.
We continually update our knowledge of new technology and material application as the need arises.

In the fall of 2005, a design client came to us with a unique challenge to produce a very specialized, yet complicated, sign system for a soon to open Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri.
The opening date was just five weeks away.
Due to the time crunch it fell upon Creative Impressions to work out all the fabrication details.
Creative Impressions' first hurdle was to create a three dimensional mock-up from a two dimensional drawing provided by the design client.
Our design also included fabrication of various sign types; fine cabinetry, laminating of specialty overlays, recessed acrylic lettering and LED lighting.
