In 1989, Leland Harmon opened Stripes & Signs in a small building at 19th and Stone streets in Falls City. He ran a route going to car dealerships and body shops in the area doing automotive striping, graphics, windshield repair, and installing luggage racks. He discontinued this service in 1995. In 1991, the business was moved to its current location at 1921 Harlan Street.
The larger location allowed for expansion into screen printing and later, into embroidery. In the spring of 2007, we built an addition onto the building. This included a bigger shop area with a taller door to accommodate taller semi trucks. The sign making, screen printing, and embroidery operations have been moved into the new addition and the existing showroom area has been remodeled and doubled in size.
