Cherokee Porcelain Enamel Company's facilities include modern metal fabrication equipment. Our products are fabricated using a heavy gauge steel substrate. Colors are created with a mixture of inorganic pigments and frit (glass) and are fused to the steel substrate at 1400 to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. Since beginning operation in 1946, Cherokee Porcelain has furnished products to customers in the United States and Canada.

Art museums display porcelain enamel art objects several thousand years old, whose sharp outlines and bright luster testify to their lasting durability and beauty. Cherokee Porcelain adopted the old world process used in 16th and 17th century Europe with the express purpose of producing the highest quality products available. Cherokee Porcelain uses modern methods to apply this material.

We use special enameling quality steel to produce a variety of architectural components. We make the shape and color coat to designer's exacting requirements. Examples are flat or curved architectural building panels, column covers, supergraphics, photo murals, subway or transit signs, and maps.
Services
Cherokee Porcelain Enamel Corporation was founded in 1946 and is a contract manufacturer of porcelain enamel on steel products.
It should be understood that porcelain enamel is glass (not paint!) which is suspended in liquid and applied to steel, melted at high temperatures, and fused to the steel substrate.
This affords an extremely durable finish that is unequalled in endurance for exterior applications.
The normal finish of porcelain enamel is a lustrous gloss which is as beautiful as it is durable.
